A legacy with the textile and garment industry
Our association with the textile and garment industry dates back to 1926 with the supply of textile accessories. Since then, we have evolved from supplying steam products to partnering with plants to reduce thermal energy, water and CO2 intensity. In 2003 we launched a benchmarking initiative to study energy and water usage across hundreds of plants, creating a practical roadmap for improvement.By closely working with textile manufacturers, we have helped significantly lower specific consumption levels, delivering both cost savings and environmental benefits.
Ensuring Process and Energy Efficiency
We support customers in building and sustaining highly efficient plants by reducing waste, optimising process and energy efficiency, and complying with regulatory requirements. On average, our customers save around 1.5% of their annual fuel bill each year, and their plants operate at 95% uptime. Collectively our work contributes to reducing around 2 million tonnes of CO2 emissions annually, and saving close to 10 million litres of water every hour.
