Vitas monthly newsletter - Volume 08/2024
Vietnam’s textile and garment exports in the first eight months of 2024 are estimated to reach $28.32 billion, an increase of 6.19% compared to the same period in 2023. It is forecasted that Vietnam’s textile and garment exports and imports will continue to be positive in the coming months, as cyclical factors typically lead to a strong increase in demand towards the end of the year. Vietnam’s key export markets are warming up and have returned to growth, such as the United States, South Korea, Japan, and Canada, while growth in the EU market remains low. The export target of $44 billion for Vietnam’s textile and garment industry in 2024 is very feasible.

Vitas monthly newsletter - Volume 07/2024
Vietnam’s textile and garment exports in the first 7 months of 2024 are estimated at 23.64 billion USD, up 4.58% over the same period in 2023. Total textile and garment imports are estimated at 14.2 billion USD, up 14.85% over the same period in 2023. It is forecasted that Vietnam’s textile and garment exports and imports will continue to be positive in the coming months, because according to cyclical factors, demand for goods often increases sharply in the last months of the year. Vietnam’s main export markets such as the US, Japan, South Korea, and China all increased, while the EU achieved the lowest growth rate, only 0.8%. Many businesses have orders until the end of the year and are negotiating orders for early 2025.
