Recently in Ho Chi Minh City, Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyet Mai, Vice Chairwoman of VITAS, held a working session with CIRKA and representatives from the Vietnam Trade Office in Sweden to discuss solutions for promoting the circular economy in the textile and garment industry.
During the meeting, the parties focused on introducing solutions to utilize surplus fabrics, scrap materials, and textile resources to create new value by connecting businesses with partners operating in the fields of reuse, remanufacturing, and recycling.

The two sides also discussed the possibility of collaborative implementation. The connection and mobilization of resources are expected to help accelerate the transition to a circular economy model, improve resource efficiency, and simultaneously enhance the competitiveness and sustainable development of Vietnam's textile and garment industry.
