Säntis expands trademarks for RCO100

Säntis Textiles is a Swiss, family-owned textile company based in Singapore, with offices in the UK, USA, Indonesia, Thailand, Turkey, China, Egypt and Pakistan. Since 2016, the company has been developing 100% recycled cotton yarns from cotton waste based on a process called RCO100. RCO100 use pre-consumer industrial waste and post-consumer cotton garment waste to produce 100% recycled OE cotton yarns up to Ne20 and ring compact yarns up to Ne30. RCO100 technology allows for a process which is all mechanical, with no chemistry, chemicals or regenerative fibres involved.



In 2021, through its ongoing partnership with fashion brands such as Tommy Hilfiger, Calvin Klein Jeans and Lacoste, the company recycled a record-breaking 100,000 tons of pre-and-post-consumer cotton waste.



Recently, Säntis Textiles has applied for trademarking of its product in the USA and Singapore markets. Already registered in Europe, the company has taken the step to cement RCO100 technology’s standing in the industry. “The motivation behind RCO100 has always been to provide innovative and high-quality solutions for garment fabrics with a focus on sustainability,” said Annabelle Hutter, creative director at Säntis. “Using our engineering technology, which can be scaled up, our company is on a journey to find solutions for textile problems. Expanding our trademark allows us to continue to deliver such quality, setting a standard in the industry and ensuring that we continue to actively improve the circular economy one metre at a time.”
