Saigon is “now” sick, but warmed by its people!

SAIGON BACK THEN WITHOUT COVID-19

Saigon back then was a destination for domestic and foreign tourists, in Saigon there are full of Vietnamese cuisine from all over the country, fresh, delicious, green and full of vegetables. In Saigon, the food is light, healthy and delicious. We can enjoy all the street food during the day and the happening, diversified night life right in the heart of District 1, Ben Thanh Market.

SAIGON IS “NOW” SICK, BUT WARMED BY ITS PEOPLE!

On July 9, 2021, Saigon officially entered the second largescale blockade according to Directive 16 since the one in 2020. From the outbreak in late April and early May, the fourth wave of the Covid-19 forced Saigon once again to enter the state of “immobility” after nearly 2 months of social distancing to limit the spreading, but the number of infections continued to climb above 4 digits on a daily basis.

Saigon is sick, but the love is rather warm! Many charity kitchens started, people contributed rice, vegetables and effort to make full meals for people in need during the epidemic. The kitchen of the City Youth Social Work Center (District 1) is operating at full capacity to produce almost 80,000 meals. Many “humantary” agricultural products from Lam Dong and Dak Lak farms are heading to Saigon. “The people of Quang Tri: we send all the good things to Saigon”. Students from the city carry backpacks to volunteer centers, stay for the summer; GrabMart offers free delivery for people in quarantine; bags of rice, boxes of noodles or packs of vegetables are delivered to places in need, food that used to be simple suddenly becomes very precious.

And in all of these difficult times, the love of humanity and compatriots shines even brighter like a precious jewel, leaving no one behind.
