VITAS to host seminar on sustainable textile industry
Vietnam Textile and Apparel Association (VITAS) together with the Korea Institute of Industrial Technology (KITECH) will host a seminar on sustainable textile industry on July 13, 2017. The seminar on 'smart manufacturing system for sustainable textile industry' will be a boost for textile industries in Vietnam to become a part of industrial revolution 4.0.
USAID Vietnam Low Emission Energy Program to collaborate with Vietnam Textile and Apparel Association on energy use and emissions reduction
Friday, March 3, 2017. Representatives from the United States Agency for International Development’s (USAID) Vietnam Low Emission Energy Program (V-LEEP) and the Vietnam Textile and Apparel Association (VITAS) will gather in Hanoi, Vietnam on Friday, March 3, 2017 to sign a project assistance document which will formalize a collaborative relationship between the two parties over the next two years. The two parties (V-LEEP and VITAS) seek to work together on the common objective of developing and implementing renewable energy and energy efficiency projects in VITAS member facilities in an effort to reduce energy use and emissions in Vietnam.
VITAS and KITECH signed MOU during the 7th Session of Vietnam – Korea Joint Commission on Cooperation in Nuclear Power, Industry & Trade,
On December 7th , 2016, at the invitation of H.E. JooHyungwan– Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy of Korea (MOITE), Minister of Industry and Trade (MOIT)  led a working delegation to attend the 7th Session of Vietnam – Korea Joint Commission on Cooperation in Nuclear Power, Industry, and Trade in Soul, Korea.
The Vietnam Textile and Garment Association (VITAS) and Mexico's National Chamber of Textile Industry (Canaintex) expect the value of Vietnamese exports to Mexico to double in 3-4 years after the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) is implemented.
The Vietnam Textile and Garment Association (VITAS) has urged the government to prepare a development strategy to 2025 with a vision towards 2040, as the present plan has become obsolete. The association has also asked the government to group textile and garment enterprises in concentrated industrial parks to attract domestic and foreign capital.
At the two VDMA conferences, themed 'German Technology meets Vietnamese Textiles' held in Vietnam in Hanoi and HCM City on July 5 and 7, respectively, about 600 decision makers and experts attended.
