Yarn Expo Spring returns to Shanghai in 2027 as material innovation reshapes sourcing

Shanghai, 6 October 2026. Yarn Expo Spring will welcome the global yarn and fibre industry back to the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) from 10 – 12 March 2027. The upcoming fair follows its strongest edition to date, held in March this year, when over 600 exhibitors from 12 countries and regions connected with more than 25,000 visitors from 113 countries and regions. The record turnout reaffirmed the fair’s role as a key venue for sourcing, innovation and industry exchange. Returning alongside Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics – Spring Edition, Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles – Spring Edition, CHIC and PH Value, the comprehensive yarn and fibre trade fair will create further opportunities for the textile value chain to connect around changing material and sourcing priorities.

Elevate Every Thread: Four Finishes That Expand Cotton’s Potential

Each of these four innovative finishes can be applied to cotton, a fiber known for its comfort and sustainability. What if your cotton could pull more weight than just wear? With the right performance finishes, cotton fabrics, garments, and yarns can deliver even more value. These enhancements help consumers get more use out of their cotton products.

Fabrics do more than serve a function; they carry a carbon footprint. And not all materials are created equal. They vary widely in the source of carbon, how long it is stored, and where it goes at end of life. These differences are increasingly important in evaluating the full impact of fiber choices.
