Many textile and garment enterprises have orders until the third quarter of 2022

After the 2022 Lunar New Year holiday, textile enterprises quickly returned to production with large export orders. Many textile enterprises even have orders until the third quarter of 2022.
Garment 10 Joint Stock Corporation is one of the textile and garment enterprises that started production right on February 7, 2022, after the Lunar New Year holiday 2022.

Mr. Than Duc Viet, General Director of Garment 10 Joint Stock Corporation, said that the number of employees returning to work after Tet had reached over 90%, even at 100% factories. Notably, unlike every year after Tet, the textile and garment industry usually has few jobs, this year's order volume of Garment 10 has increased by about 15% compared to the same period last year.





"Up to now, May 10 has signed orders until the end of the second quarter of 2022. Even key products such as vests and shirts, after 15 months of being empty, now have orders until the end of the third quarter of 2022", Mr. Than Duc Viet excitedly shared.
Similarly, Mr. Pham Anh Tuan, Director of 76 - Z76 One Member Limited Liability Company (Ministry of National Defense) said that from the 5th day of the Lunar New Year, the enterprise has started production with 100% of their employees returning to work. Up to now, the business has received orders until the third quarter of 2022.
Similarly, Mr. Do Van Ve, Deputy General Director of Huong Sen Group Joint Stock Company, also shared many positive signs in textile and garment exports in 2022.
"We started production on February 6, 2022, with 100% of the army. The company strictly adheres to epidemic prevention measures. Employees are very excited, producing three shifts. From the beginning of the year, the company has exported five containers to countries such as Korea, China…", Mr. Ve said.
According to Mr. Le Tien Truong, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Vietnam National Textile and Garment Group (Vinatex), in 2022, Vinatex sets an overall growth target of over 8% focus is on the ratio of added value and profit margin must reach 20-25%.
Previously, in 2021, Vinatex's consolidated profit reached a historic level of VND 1,446 billion for the first time, 2.5 times higher than 2020 and 1.9 times higher than in 2019 which was the year before the Covid-19 pandemic.
For sustainable development in 2022, Vinatex is determined to focus on promoting digital transformation solutions; continue to form a large enough supply capacity for the knitwear industry.

Emphasizing that Vinatex and enterprises in the textile and garment industry are very interested in stabilizing the macro-economy, interest rates and exchange rates must be suitable for export promotion. Mr. Le Tien Truong suggested guiding soon economic support package, including interest rate support, so that businesses can recover quickly.
Besides, continue to cut logistics costs. Currently, logistics costs account for 9.3% of the cost of textile products. "In addition, it is necessary to be flexible with the number of monthly overtime hours because the production of textiles and garments is seasonal and not evenly distributed in the months...", Mr. Le Tien Truong said.
Regarding the export of the entire textile and garment industry in general, the Vietnam Textile and Apparel Association (Vitas) forecasts a positive signal this year that major markets such as the US, EU... have reopened.
Vitas sets goals for 2022 according to 3 scenarios. Firstly, with the most optimistic scenario, the epidemic situation is controlled in the first quarter of 2022, striving for export turnover to reach 42.5 - 43.5 billion USD.
In the average scenario, the epidemic is under control in the middle of the year, the total export turnover is expected to be 40-41 billion USD. In the worst-case scenario, where the epidemic continues to evolve, lasting until the end of 2022, the total export turnover will reach about $38-39 billion.
