Hong Kong – Crystal International Group Limited (“Crystal International” or the “Group”) has reached new heights in climate change transparency. By disclosing climate change data and practices through the 2023 CDP reporting cycle, Crystal International has earned a spot on the “A List” (leadership level), for its leadership in climate transition, inventory management, and performance.

Crystal International is the sole Hong Kong-based company on the "A" list in CDP Climate Change.

Among record-breaking 23,000 participating companies globally from different industries, the Group is recognised as being in the top 1.5% attaining an “A” score for the first time. Fully aligned with Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) framework, CDP assesses the companies based on the comprehensiveness of disclosure, awareness and management of environmental risks, and demonstration of best practices associated with environmental stewardship.

“We are all thrilled to have received the ‘A’ score. Being placed on the CDP ‘A List’ is an exceptional recognition of our climate efforts at all levels, signifying the quality and data completeness of our environmental management. Carbon reduction is at the forefront of our sustainability agenda and our efforts never end. We will continue to accelerate our pace,” said Catherine Chiu, Vice President of Global Sustainability at Crystal International.

Crystal International has committed to reaching net zero by 2050, and reducing 35% aggregate carbon emissions by 2030. The Group’s net zero strategy has been integrated into the daily operations to make a concerted effort to achieve low-carbon manufacturing and the long-term goals.  This strategy includes expanding renewable energy, enhancing productivity and energy efficiency, and adopting green technologies.

Renewable energy is pivotal to Crystal International’s net zero strategy.

Transparency is essential to analysing climate actions, managing risk and uncovering opportunities. Crystal International will delve deeper to raise the bar of environmental excellence, by taking sustainable fashion to the next level.
