VITAS Invitation to COTTON DAY 2019

The Vietnam spinning industry depends mainly on imported cotton materials (accounting for 99.9% of total cotton used). The amount of cotton imported into Vietnam increased sharply in the last 10 years with 150,000 tons in 2005 to about 1.568 million tons in 2018 of which U.S cotton has always accounted for a large proportion. In first 4 months of 2019, Vietnam imported 308.000 tons cotton from the U.S, equivalent 59%, much higher than the second cotton source of India (14%), proving that Vietnam’s spinning mills have increasingly believed in the quality of U.S cotton and realize the benefits of the support services provided by the U.S cotton industry. 


COTTON DAY is one of the special annual events organized by the American Cotton Association (CCI) in Asian countries since the early 90s. Continuing the success of COTTON DAY 2018 - the second time played In Vietnam - American Cotton Association (CCI) and Vietnam Textile and Apparel Association (VITAS) continue to coordinate with COTTON DAY 2019 with the topic "WHAT'S NEW IN COTTON".


COTTON DAY 2019 is a place to exchange and meet production enterprises in Vietnam's textile supply chain using cotton from YARN - TEXTILE - GARMENT and COMMODITIES to update the latest technologies about Cotton to create inspiring creativity and innovation in the supply chain. Details of the event are as follows:
